North Carolina Community College Leadership Program selects Wake Tech Librarian
The future of North Carolina’s community colleges depends upon the quality and diversity of its future leaders. A statewide program called the North Carolina Community College Leadership Program (NCCCLP) was developed nineteen years ago to provide leadership training to faculty and staff from the 58 institutions comprising the North Carolina Community College System as well as from the System Office.
Wake Tech Libraries Reference and Instructional Services Librarian, Suvanida Duangudom, has been selected to participate in NCCCLP’s class of 2007-2008.
Participants for the 2007-2008 program were selected through a competitive application process. They will attend workshops and seminars for the next six months covering topics such as diversity, conflict resolution, and leading through change. Suvanida joins thirty-five other participants, representing 34 North Carolina community colleges.
About NCCCLP:
NCCCLP trains and develops future community college leaders and believes that quality leadership is important in all levels of community colleges and that excellence with equity can best be fostered through broad-based professional development opportunities offered to a diverse group.
For more information about the North Carolina Community College Leadership Program, please contact Linda Burke, NCCCLP Director at 336-751-2885, or visit the program’s website at www.nccclp.net
Please join us in congratulating Suvanida!
